Haskell Development Manager
Jean-Christophe holds a diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of Liège (Belgium) and a MSc from the Cranfield Institute of Technology (UK), both in Aerospace Engineering. He also received a MSc in Bioinformatics from The Free University of Brussels.
After having worked several years in the aerospace industry, he turned to his lifelong passion, IT/CS. His main interests are the relational model, machine learning, programming languages and software engineering. He has been learning and using various FP languages since 2007.
During his career, he had the opportunity to work on many large projects in different industries: compiler implementation, smart cards, energy (gas and electricity) and Big Pharma.
Having a background in mechanical engineering, he sees no reason why proper engineering practices shouldn’t be applied to software development.
