Dmytro Kaidalov is a cryptographer and software engineer. He has a PhD in symmetric cryptography from the Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics. He contributed to the development of the Ukrainian national encryption standard, the Kalyna block cipher. He also earned a master's degree in software engineering from Linnaeus University in Sweden. Dmytro's professional experience includes working for companies such as Samsung Electronics, EPAM Systems, and Lavasoft, where he worked on embedded, mobile and enterprise systems. He joined IOHK in 2016 and is deeply engaged with blockchain technologies. He specializes in consensus protocols, sidechains, decentralized governance, and privacy.
